GREAT! :top:

Gema, you're building a really wonderful model. I like it very much!

Especially the technic-bay and the removeable cover... :top:

Mark, two things that will cause you some trouble:

1.) the steering bar has to have a V-shape, otherwise the steering will not work correctly. The two fixing points of the steering rope have to be on the same axis as the steering shaft of the GTX (see red line in the following drawing):

Steeringbar_GTX500_650.gif

2.) the SPEED 600 will be too heavy and too weak for this kind of hull. It will shift your center of gravity too far backwards because of it's high weight and won't have enough power to get your hull planing (floating freely). I'd strongly recommend the use of a 36 size BL motor.

By the way: what is the overall weight of your racer, including batteries, driver figure and RC?

Jo, thank you for the advice. I'll make the change.

the motor 600 is just for a steering test. I'll change with a bruschless..

for the cable, I think it used this.

Gema, we all use Dyneema, a thin but very strong thread (franz. fil).
You can buy Dyneema in a kite store (cerf-volant)...klick

Merci Xoff pour le lien,

it's just that I have this cable ... It is only 0.10mm in diameter, but I look for the dyneema

Here the balance verdicte

less than 1.5 kg without the receiver and speed control

I change the steering bar.

but it is bad. The cable makes a triangle with the servo and the motor

Mark, I tried your cable on vintage model airplanes years ago. I experienced that the 0,1mm "Diamantlitze" rusts after some months and then it cracks. It also changes its length depending on temperature and strain - it is unsuitable for our needs, don't use it on your boat!

Just use a rope drum on the servo, dyneema steering rope and a solid steering bar with pulleys from Cap Maquettes - that will work for sure without causing any troubles.
