I should speak a bit of german as I made my military service in Germany at Neustadt-an-der-Weinstrasse in 1970-71 at the 51th regiment of transmissions because I was a licensed "amateur radio" at that time. But, unfortunately, I did not because the German fellows spoke so well english or french (there were a German-French club of frienship).

I forgot to mention what motor I will use for this boat : it comes from HobbyKing and cost is about 77$: about 85€ with postage and VAT.



Unfortunately, motor's kV is a bit high : 3000 and I must change it to a kV 2700 to be in the rules. I don't know yet if I will use an outrunner or an inrunner. Probably the later as I have already one on shelf. I have also a water cooled 70A ESC but it's probably too much. A 50A should be sufficient perhaps even a 35A. I have not yet tested the motor in the water to measure how much it needs.

The motor is almost 152vo-standard. (Mine is still somewhere out there on the ocean ...)

And the 70A ESC won't do any harm. The boat will easily carry the extra weight.

We made some measurements last year with a data logger. My Speedliner took more than 60 Amps during acceleration shortly before hull starts to plane on water.

Thanks for writing in french but english is more universal and readable by far more people.

All the pièces are hand cut but with machine tools. I have a fretsaw, a bandsaw, a bandsander and I invested recently in a second-hand digital milling machine (CharlyRobot) but I don't yet master it. I have also a whole set of other machine tools (planer, surface-planer, column drill, lathe, grinder, etc.)... and a cutter.

I would be very glad to have a laser cutter but it's a bit too expensive : the one I dream of (A0 format) costs in France about 50 000 € without mandatory accessories (fume extractor, water cooler, nitrogen gas, etc... and an electicity power need of 12 kW !). I found one less expensive in China (~8000 € + 1200€ for port) but I am not confident for after-sale service and it's still too expensive for my purse.

A new tool I will probably buy soon is a 3D printer. I saw one available at about 700€ (kit) in France with a capability of 20 x 20 x 20 cm.
