Hello Yi Kai,

drawings and the reality could have a difference.
I am no expert but all the plans i have received are coming from Original Drawings in Foot and Inch.
These are then converted into Milimeters and then translated into 1:5,2 !

Therefor i am pretty sure that a Milimeter difference could happen and then the reality comes.

If the wood is not 100% straight in measures all down the complete "Stick", then you could have differences in Drawings versus Frame building.

My recipe for that is to measure the plan at start, mid and end between Stringer and Battens.
If you can measure at minimum at start and mid the same size, then the last "fit" needs sanding to get the same distance between the start and the mid of the complete frame.
Otherwise your complete Framesetup is fooling you after all the next steps (Planking, fitting and so on)

Best Heico

p.s. the Keel is the Main measure for every Boat, a wrong Keel get's a wrong Boat !

If you look at Andy's build since he did the drawing.
152vo.de/index.php/forum/flatbottoms/2157.html
Look through all his buildlogg
What could possibly go wrong?

Thanks for sharing your recipe ,its a good lesson learn for me “measure is the first”

I do some measurement works , and will revise the frame trench distance ,right now can sleep well :sofa:

Dear all sir
After hundreds of years, I am still struggling with these pieces of wood. It seems that I am far away from completion. Inevitably, I also made some mistakes that caused me to have trouble sleeping at night.
For example, I sawed off the pine wood that extended to the end of the ship and cut off the wood on one side of the ship. Or the bar tension makes me confused

But this is where I'm at right now. I'm struggling with where to place the glue on the base. :bauen:

Hello Yi Kai,

i am not sure what the question means "How to glue it"

If you need a tip what kind of glue you should use, then the question is:

Did you laquered the Chines and the Frames ?
If yes then you need a 2K Epoxy glue (in Europe there would be "UHU Endfest 90 Min" a possibility)

If no (only stained) then you can use waterresistant woodglue ("Ponal Wasserfest")

If the question was how to fix it to the chines, then look at Andy's Build Log
Andy's Pictures how to fix

The bottom could be fixed with some iron weight or with adhesive tape wrapped around the raw construction.
Sometimes it makes sense to split the glueing into two separate jobs for the bottom.
First the flat part and then the round part.
