Hello,

I started building my first 152VO boat, a Speedliner Corsair. I'm building this boat because I want to own a 152VO my self, it's exctualy my first build on my own ever. I choose the Speedliner Corsair because I wanted to have a Flatbottom and the Corsair is a nice streamlined boat (in my eyes). I also want a fast boat that is capable of going fast, and steady in corners too.

Here are the first building pictures.
I got a set of frames from Jan, so that will make it a bit easyer for me.

Now i have to wait until my wood for the stringers and battens arrives.

Hi Jeroen

That is really a nice surprise. If your first boat becomes nearly so good as you will drive it, it will be a hammer. And I think you have an acceptable fallback at home!?

Good luck, Kay

Aha!! That's where my building board went! Could'nt find it anywhere last week .. ;) That board was already used to build four 152VO Racers, so it's a good base for an exelent boat :bauen: I hope the wood arives soon so you can continue the build :muetze:

I have drawn some fittings for the Corsair. The steering wheel, Quincy Bisumatioc and Bowhandle are new, the rest are copies from the Humarock Baby.

This the USA Dutch way! The picture show how we built the Corsair M510 1960 onward. This was a close front cockpit.

Hi Lex

I know how you feel and I can read "the tingling sensation in your fingers". But keep in mind - it is the project of your son. He has to make the same expiriance as you. The only way of learning.

Be a coache and not the better model builder. :bier:

Best regards, Kay
